Two people pulled from Uchee Creek in Lee County, conditions unknown – Information Important Online

LEE COUNTY, Ala. (WRBL) – Lee County deputies responded to a distress call along Uchee Creek, near Moffitt’s Mill, on Tuesday afternoon. Upon arrival, deputies discovered two males in the water. 

Sheriff Jay Jones tells WRBL the deputies immediately pulled the individuals out of the creek and began administering CPR.


Emergency medical personnel arrived shortly thereafter, transporting both individuals to Piedmont Columbus Regional for further treatment. 

At this time, Sheriff Jones says the condition of the two males remains unknown. Lee County Coroner Daniel Sexton has confirmed his office has been called to the hospital, though no further details have been released. 

Investigations are ongoing. The community is asked to keep everyone involved in their thoughts during this difficult time.
